Résumé

In the paper calculating method for finned air coolers working with slurry ice is presented. These are not standard calculations and proper knowledge of slurry ice properties is needed. The influence of phase change and special flow type on heat transfer coefficient is taken into account. Moreover the influence of ice concentration and mass flow of slurry ice on cooling capacity and heat transfer area of the air cooler is analyzed. Calculation results for slurry ice and water-glycol solution are compared.
