Caractéristiques d'adsorption des molécules d'hydrogène à l'intérieur de nanotubes de carbone à couches multiples en fonction de la température.

Temperature dependent adsorption behaviour of hydrogen molecules in multi-walled carbon nanotubes.

Auteurs : ZHENG Q., GU A., LU X., et al.

Résumé

The paper presents an analysis of hydrogen adsorption in multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). Samples were tested from 0.1 to 12.3 MPa in pressure and 123 to 310 K in temperature. The thermodynamic equilibria were studied to determine the interaction energy among the adsorbed hydrogen molecules in each adsorption equilibrium state. The results show that adsorbed hydrogen molecules repulse each other in the low-temperature region and behave prominently at temperatures ranging from 160 to 180 K, but will be attractive when the temperature is above 230 K. It was concluded that the dissociation of hydrogen molecules should have occurred under the experimental conditions, and the corresponding temperature of the highest repulsion energy would be preferred for hydrogen adsorption on the MWCNTs.
