Résumé

The main geometrical and operating parameters of the steam centrifugal compressors working in various operating conditions are realized in this paper. The interdependence between the centrifugal compressor pressure ratio, compression work, impeller peripheral speed, Mach number, compressor capacity, impeller diameters and width, speed of rotation and water vapor temperature and specific volumetric cooling capacity are shown and discussed. The high peripheral impeller speed, high Mach number and high pressure ratio cause separated jet-wake flow and transonic flow phenomena in the centrifugal compressor flow field. The possibilities for prediction of the transonic flows in turbocompressor cascades using the calculating methods for 3-D viscid unsteady transonic fluid flows are discussed. According to the results of CFD simulations and experimental investigations of the flow structure and performance of the centrifugal compressor some observations for the optimal design of the steam centrifugal compressor flow field main parameters are given. The application of the turbocompressor in the thermotransforming systems (heat pumps; refrigerating systems) and the influence on the energy efficiency of the systems are analyzed.
