Changement de phase et efficacité des compresseurs des refroidisseurs à tube à pulsation de type Stirling.

Phase shift and compressor efficiency in Stirling-type pulse tube coolers.

Résumé

The dynamic behaviour of Stirling-type pulse tube cold fingers and some dummy loads driven by an in-house made linear compressor has been investigated by modelling and experiment. There is an operating frequency at which a phase shift of 180° between pressure and piston velocity in the compression space can be obtained. However, this frequency does not coincide with the system resonance frequency, where the latter is close to the frequency for highest compressor efficiency. The one-dimensional numerical simulation can reasonably explain the measured pressure amplitudes and the refrigeration effect but cannot reproduce the experimental p-V power.
