Résumé

A comfortable climate during all seasons, with excellent air distribution and low air velocities in working and leisure environments is achieved by the use of perforated air distribution hoses. The plant is designed for ventilation during all seasons, (air-) heating in the winter and free cooling in spring-, summer- and autumn seasons. The air outlet and air distribution systems are connected to air handling units with built-in direct gas-fired heaters. To prevent loss of sales area and to reduce noise, the Reznor air handling units are situated on the roof. Experience with the system demonstrates a temperature reduction of 6-8 K in comparison with the former situation. Furthermore, the acceptable theoretical maximum noise level value of 50 dB(A) at a height of 1.8 metres inside the sales area was too high. Staff experience and the reaction of clients are positive and the owner therefore instructed the consultant to build a new project in the Netherlands with the same system, in spite of investments being slightly higher than traditional systems.
