Résumé
Given the lack of efficacy of chemotherapy used alone and cryotherapy used alone as curative treatments of prostate cancer, the authors investigated combined therapy using chemotherapy (S-thiouracil) and cryotherapy. Human prostate cancer cells were used. Data show that S-thiouracil at sublethal doses and freezing temperatures raise cell death efficacy.
