Résumé

This article presents survey results on infection risks in hospital environments. The author highlights the importance of proper ventilation design in order to avoid infection by preventing bacteria falling into the wound area. The article refers to the Dept. of Health guidance on operating theatres, and concludes by emphasizing the role of commissioning new and refurbished plant and the associated tests to minimize the infection risks.
