Résumé

At the MOP28 meeting in Kigali, HFCs were added as a target substance and a phased reduction in their consumption was reinforced. These steps highlight the importance of promoting natural working fluid (NWF) systems. However, in Japan, the awareness of individual commercially available equipment is limited. Therefore, a Technical Committee of the Japan Society of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (JSRAE) created NWF equipment maps that list the existing equipment based on capacity and supply temperature. The maps for heat pumps included both domestic and commercial water heaters and heat pump-based hot-air generators. Accordingly, we created maps for high-temperature heat pumps currently under development. For refrigeration applications, we classified these products, based on their individual capabilities, into four supply temperature ranges. We believe that these maps will improve the awareness about commercially available NWF equipment, aid in their increased use, and guide the development of new equipment policies.
