Résumé

The suction muffler is one of the important components of a compressor with regards low noise level and high efficiency. In order to find out the optimal design of the muffler, computational fluid dynamics and a finite volume method are used. Theoretical results were verified by experiments. Low noise and good efficiency were the main targets.
