Modelling of refrigeration piston compressors.

Résumé

A commercial hermetic compressor for nominal capacity of 23 kW is concerned. The model has been validated via an experimental installation. Experimental results are compared with model outputs. The model is capable of predicting the performance of the mentioned hermetic compressor with a mean error of 3% and a maximum error of 8% in the calculation of the volumetric and isentropic efficiency.
