Résumé

Winter and summer experiments were done so as to clarify acceptable temperature differences between upper body and lower body air supply temperature. As a conclusion the authors suggest that the upper environment should be actively controlled so as to keep office workers comfortable. From the viewpoint of summer energy conservation, for example, it would be sufficient to maintain an overall room temperature that results in a equivalent temperature of around 29 °C while also supplying air at about 23 or 26 °C from personal AC systems built into the furniture to meet individual requirements.
