Résumé

The authors perform a comparative analysis, from a theoretical perspective, on the technical performances of a refrigerating system with a mechanical compression; the refrigerating system can function in the fields of industrial cold, air conditioning and heating pumps. The refrigerating agents taken into consideration throughout this study and mentioned in the related scientific literature as potential substitutes for Freon R22 are: R404A; R407C; R410A; R417; R422 A; R424 A; R428; R507.
For the comparative analysis the thermodynamic cycle afferent to each of the refrigerating agents used in the installation was drawn for the same evaporating temperature and different condensing temperatures, respectively 30°C, 40°C and 50°C. The refrigerating installation’s technical performances were expressed based on the following: specific refrigerating capacity, q0v, [kJ/m3], the work volume, lv, [kJ/m3], performance coefficient, EER / COP, [-].Simultaneously, the authors present comparatively the characteristics of each refrigerating agent listed previously with regard to: impact on the environment through Global Warming Potential and Total Equivalent Warming Impact; compatibility with lubrication substances (oil); flashpoints and toxicity.
