Résumé

When circulating in the air conditioning and refrigeration system, refrigerants absorb heat from the air-conditioned space and reject it outdoors. All refrigerant machines are prone to leaks. This article is intended to address the types of refrigerants, causes of leaks, the impact of leaks on the environment, types of refrigerant detectors, related code issues, and the interface between detectors and building automation systems.
