Résumé

The purpose of cryosurgical treatment for anorectal cancer was to provide not only palliative benefits but also curative management of early lesions. A small group of early cancer was treated with the intent to cure because the risk of operation was too great for conventional excision due to severe associated diseases. In some patients, the cancer was so advanced that surgery was not possible, although palliation of symptoms was needed. As for the multidisciplinary treatment, 5-FU, UFT and mitomycin C were used for complete removal of anorectal cancer that resulted from recurrence. Whenever cases with a recurring tumour from anorectal cancer complain of anal pain or inveterate bleeding, an atempt should be made control such symptoms using multidisciplinary treatment.
