Résumé

The paper presents working parameters of Joule-Thomson (J-T) cryocooler supplied with nitrogenhydrocarbons mixture and working in a closed cycle. Nowadays, the development of the J-T coolers has become the matter of the intensive research programs, particularly in the USA and Asia. Industrial applications of this kind of coolers are significantly limited by high values of the working pressure for pure nitrogen. Supplying the cryocooler with nitrogen-hydrocarbons mixtures allows to reduce the working pressure down to the level achievable by commercially available compressors. The J-T coolers are characterized by high reliability and relatively low investment costs. The described system produces a few Watts of cooling power at temperature around 90 K. The cooling power can be used to cool down the high-temperature superconducting magnets, for cryomedical applications and to liquefy a small amount of nitrogen, argon, oxygen or methane.
