Résumé

The development of gas hydrate cold energy storage technology is reviewed. The research works are classified into three classifications: selection of guest materials, enhancement of gas hydrate formation, and apparatus designation. Generally speaking, gas hydrates cold energy storage technology is promising, but there are still many research works left to do in order to apply this technology in engineering practice: (1) continue to look for new gas hydrate guest materials which meet the environmental protection request, such as alkanes, hydrofluorocarbons, and the water soluble materials; (2) continue to find new methods to improve the formation rate of gas hydrates during cold energy storage process, such as seeking new effective chemical additive, or improving the mass and heat transfer rate during gas hydrate formation, and so on.
