Détermination de la présence de vapeur à l'entrée des détendeurs grâce à des capteurs d'impédance.

Determining vapour presence at expansion valves inlet by an impedance sensor.

Résumé

An experimental study of the refrigerant vapour presence at expansion valves inlet is proposed in this work. An impedance sensor was developed for determining the void fraction aiming at to produce an electrical signal for a refrigerant mass flow control system in a regular refrigeration mechanical compression cycle. A discussion of the experimental technique, procedure as well as the main causes of vapour presence at expansion valves inlet, and its consequences, is analysed in this study. Experimental facility of 5.0 kW mechanical compression refrigeration cycle using the alternative refrigerant R-417A are presented, and the influence of mass flow trough a thermostatic expansion valve and an electronically controlled expansion valve, with and without vapour presence is discussed. As a goal, the work aims at to furnish a possible new tool for improving the cycle control system.
