Développement d'un modèle de simulation dynamique pour la performance d'un refroidisseur transitoire à absorption.

Development of a dynamic simulation model for transient absorption chiller performance.

Résumé

In this paper, the development of a dynamic model for the transient simulation of absorption chillers is presented. The model is based on internal and external heat and mass balances with dynamic behaviour implemented via thermal and mass storage terms in the main vessels as well as delay times in the solution circuit. A verification of simulated against experimental results is shown. Dynamic agreement between simulation and experimental data was found to be very good with temporal deviations in the range of 2%. The model has been developed for a 10 kW LiBr/water absorption chiller but can easily be extended to other chillers. It allows the development of specific temperature control strategies but can also be used as a fast and effective prediction tool in the overall process of absorption chiller design.
