Résumé

Waste heat from cogeneration systems is usually recovered by hot water or steam that is used to drive absorption refrigerators in cooling mode, and for heating via heat exchangers in heating mode. However, waste heat from micro gas turbines is discharged in the form of exhaust gas, and it is simple to use exhaust gas to directly supply absorption chiller-heaters. In the first report, the authors studied cooling cycle, and here they evaluated various absorption heating cycles for exhaust-gas-driven absorption chiller-heaters, and adopted one of these cycles for the prototype machine. They experimented with the prototype for a wide range of conditions and obtained the heating characteristics. Based on the experimental data, they developed a simulation model of the static characteristics, and then studied how to increase the output by limited exhaust gas.
