Résumé

The description and basic principles of operation of evaporative-cooled heat exchangers such as condensers and liquid chillers were presented in the first part of the paper. The design of these heat exchangers along with dedicated approaches of the thermal capacity control are presented in this paper. Close attention has been paid to the operation problems of these heat exchangers. The thermal design methodology is presented as well as well as the exemplary calculation of the ammonia condenser and water cooler.
