Résumé

A sensible/latent heat separation air conditioning system is expected to realize both thermal comfort and energy conservation simultaneously. In this research, a ceiling radiation panel system and desiccant air conditioning unit was evaluated by simulation in the design phase of a medical facility. Combined use of the ceiling radiation panel system and convection air conditioning made the hospital room comfortable. The simulation showed that the desiccant air conditioning unit used 18 % less cooling energy than did the conventional air conditioning unit. Compared with the conventional air conditioning unit, the desiccant air conditioning unit is advantageous because it can use water at higher temperatures.
