Essai expérimental d'un évaporateur à plaques pour les systèmes frigorifiques à sorption.

Experimental test of plate evaporator for sorption refrigeration systems.

Résumé

The compactness of the sorption system is one of the major issues for their development in the residential sector. The aim of the work presented here is to check the feasibility to use plate heat exchanger for evaporator in adsorption system. For this purpose, a small adsorption pilot with 13X/H2O as working couple, was equipped with a plate heat exchanger. The influence of the secondary fluid inlet temperature and of the liquid level inside the evaporator were addressed. The evaporator connection configuration (parallel or counter flow) was also studied. From the results, it appears that the parallel flow configuration increases highly the average cooling power (as much as +125%). The authors have noticed that a too high secondary fluid temperature results in performance degradation, which might be due to a too high wall superheat resulting in a partial dry-out of the wall.
