Résumé

The VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) system has been prevailed recently. After the earthquake in Japan, Gas engine Heat Pump air conditioners (GHP) attract attention especially because of the low electricity-consumption characteristics. On the other hand, the air conditioning system containing the VRF system consumes a lot of energy. There are some problems that need to be solved. In this paper, a new system to improve the efficiency of the GHP in heating period by using solar heat and wastewater heat as external heat source is proposed, and evaluated quantitatively the energy cutting effects from measured data. The new method proposed is the attachment of a double-pipe heat exchanger to the refrigerant pipes in an air conditioning outdoor unit. As the result, the COP value increases by about 36% using solar heat, and by about 27% using wastewater heat. The improvement effect in heating efficiency of GHP by an external heat source are confirmed. It is possible to improve the efficiency of the air conditioning system at low cost because initial investment for new air conditioners are cut down. The compressor curve (CC) method is used to evaluate the coefficient of performance (COP).
