Résumé

The experimental results on the absorption of water vapour into LiBr aqueous solution in a vertical in-tube absorber are presented. In a double-tube test absorber, water vapour is absorbed into the solution falling inside a smooth copper tube that is cooled on its outside with water flowing counter-currently in the annular space. The experimental parameters are the film Reynolds number of the solution, the solution inlet subcooling and the cooling water temperature. The results are compared with those of a previous report. Observation of the tube inside is made by using an industrial endoscope to confirm if the wall surface is covered with the liquid film. Discussion is also presented on the heat and mass transfer coefficients that are obtained with the estimated temperature and concentration at the vapour-liquid interface as well as those that are conventionally defined by the temperature and the concentration at the inlet and the outlet of the absorber.
