Etude expérimentale sur la performance d'un nouveau système de refroidissement à déshydratant liquide à énergie solaire.

Experimental study on the performance of a new solar liquid desiccant cooling system.

Auteurs : ZHANG X., CAO Y.

Résumé

In recent years, attempts have been made to use liquid desiccant cooling systems (LDCS) as an alternative to conventional compression refrigeration systems. LDCS are especially suitable for solar energy applications. The liquid desiccants can be regenerated at temperatures below 80 °C and the concentrated desiccants can be easily stored to provide a high energy storage capacity for air dehumidification and cooling. The paper presents the results from a study of the performance of an internally cooled plate absorber and a packed tower regenerator for an aqueous lithium-chloride desiccant dehumidification system. The rates of dehumidification and regeneration were assessed under the effects of variables such as air and desiccant rates, air temperature and humidity, and desiccant temperature and concentration. Mass transfer coefficients, used in numerical models, have been identified and enable the reliable size of the dehumidifier and the regenerator.
