Résumé

As an effective method for heat transfer enhancement, internally finned tubes have been often employed in compact heat exchangers, but neither experimental measurements nor numerical analysis have been performed for new internally finned tubes with petal-shaped flat channels, which are introduced in this paper. Though an experimental method studied was the heat convection and resistance characteristics of the new internally finned tubes with petal-shaped flat channels. The corresponding correlation formulas of heatconvection and resistance for the new finned heat exchange tubes were obtained. Moreover, by employing the three criteria of equal mass flow rate, equal pump power and equal pressure drop compared was the heat transfer effectiveness of the new finned tubes and the ordinary bare tubes. The results show that the new inner finned tubes with petal-shaped flat channels have relatively high heat exchange effectiveness and configuration of the finned tubes has a relatively great influence on heat-exchange intensificationeffectiveness. The intensification effectiveness is especially conspicuous under the condition of a low Reynolds number.
