Résumé

Ice blockage is a severe problem in ice slurry transportation arising from stratification and aggregation of ice slurry flow, and the beginning of stratification is marked by critical deposition velocity. In this study, the flow pattern, maximum aggregation concentration and determination method of critical deposition velocity are introduced. Forces acting on ice slurry are analyzed from both macro and micro perspective so as to clarify stratification mechanism. Then this paper focuses on numerical simulation of critical deposition velocity of ice slurry flow in horizontal pipes. Results of numerical simulation are compared with previous experimental data with the purpose of validating effectiveness of the model. The influences of IPF, ice particle diameter, concentration of freezing point depressant and pipe diameter on critical deposition velocity are investigated, respectively. The simulation results provide basis for predicting critical deposition velocity and drawing detailed flow pattern map of ice slurry flow, and is also of remarkable significance for guiding safty design and operation of ice slurry system.
