Résumé

The mixture of carbon dioxide and acetone is particularly interesting for compression/resorption refrigeration process, heat pumps and automotive air-conditioning. CO2 is a natural, non-toxic, non-flammable substance with a low global warming potential (GWP) and moderate critical temperature. Acetone has a low GWP, high flammability and high critical temperature. The high miscibility of the two fluids leads to mixtures with good thermal properties and a higher critical temperature. Several properties have been experimentally measured for CO2/acetone system: density, vapor-liquid equilibrium data, heat capacity, excess enthalpy providing a large number of data covering a wide temperature and pressure range. In the present work, we tested and adjusted different thermodynamic models to find the one that would best reproduce all literature data. This reliable and accurate thermodynamic model can then be used to study the performance of the compression/resorption refrigeration cycle.
