Résumé

The combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) system can generate simultaneously electrical power and thermal energy (cooling and heating) from a single fuel source. This self-power generation has made CCHP system more attractive, especially in the building energy field. However, the existing CCHP systems are not always economical and energy-efficient due to multidimensional factors. The most important factor is that the dynamic characteristics of the power units such as micro-gas turbine are not in harmony with load required. Then thermal storage system (TES) is needed. Hence, performance evaluation has been carried out for CCHP system with TES and CCHP system without TES applying in building energy area. The dynamic characteristics of the power unit and the absorption chillers are investigated and the analysis model of the proposed system is established. Based on the energy saving principle "consume oneself", optimized calculation of gas turbine for every system has been carried out, and an index PLV is introduced to power load variance. And the sensitivity of different chillers’ performance is also discussed. At last, we draw the conclusion as following: 1) the first load type (hotel and hospital) building is suit for TES system while the third load type (office and commercial building) building is recommended avoidance of TES system; 2) In system with thermal storage, the larger PLV of building electricity load is, the smaller the proper capacity of gas turbine is and the more energy system consumes; 3) according to sensitivity analysis, the above conclusion has universality and may be a guidance for CCHP system design and operation.
