Evaluation expérimentale du retour de l'huile pendant l'utilisation des frigorigènes de remplacement des CFC et des HCFC.

Experimental assessment of oil return with CFC and HCFC alternatives.

Résumé

CFCs and HCFCs have mostly been used with mineral oils. Alkylbenzene type lubricants have usually been preferred when HCFCs were either used at low temperature and/or as HCFC/HFC based refrigerants. The refrigeration and air conditioning industry has systematically favored miscible lubricants; consequently, polyolester, polyalkylene glycol and recently polyether lubricants have been introduced on the market. The article goes beyond the study of the miscibility between the refrigerant and the oil to decide which oil type to adopt. The influence of other important factors is also deeply investigated. The aim of this paper is to discuss in detail upon application and technology and refrigerant/oil type used that can be accepted or that will lead to compressor failure.
