Expérience sur la performance de la condensation et la visualisation de l'écoulement dans les échangeurs de chaleur à microcanaux en couches.
Experiment on condensation performance and flow visualization in layered microchannel heat exchangers.
Résumé
This study experimentally investigated two types of microchannel geometries — straight and wavy channels — for condensation heat transfer, pressure drop, and flow visualization of layered microchannel heat exchangers (LMHEs) employed as condensers. The experiments on condensation performance used R1234ze(E) and R32 as test refrigerants in LMHEs. The experimental conditions were as follows: a refrigerant saturation temperature of 40 °C , superheat of 5 K at the inlet of the test section, subcooling of 5 K at the outlet of the test section, and refrigerant mass flow rate ranging from 13.1 to 35.0 kg h–1. The overall heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop of the LMHE with a wavy channel were up to 13% and 1.0kPa higher, respectively, than those of the LMHE with a straight channel. At a refrigerant mass flow rate of 35.0 kg h–1, the overall heat transfer coefficient of R1234ze(E) was 29% lower than that of R32, and the pressure drop of R1234ze(E) was 1.7kPa higher than that of R32. Additionally, the experimental conditions of flow visualization — the refrigerant saturation temperature of 40 °C , superheat of 5 K at the inlet of the test section, and refrigerant mass velocity of 100 kg m-2s-1 — used R1234ze(E) as the refrigerant. The complete condensation was observed in both straight and wavy channels. The length of complete condensation in the wavy channel was shorter than that in the straight channel. Three flow patterns — undisturbed annular flow, disturbed annular flow, and plug flow — were observed in the straight channel; however, no undisturbed annular flow was observed in the wavy channel.
