Within the last seven years three prototypes of solar driven 2.5 kW ammonia/water diffusion-absorption cooling machines were developed at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences. The cooling machine is suited for the use of air conditioning in residential houses as well as hotel or office rooms. The promising results of the prototypes are presented and discussed.
