Résumé

Water and acid absorbing properties filter driers play an essential role. In addition, new properties are now expected, which have an essential importance for the right choice of filter driers, e.g. dirt filtration, compatibility with HFC refrigerants and polyolester oils, and compatibility with several additives as well. These problems are discussed in this article. Finally the importance of a correct dimensioning of the filter drier is explained and illustrated.
