Fuites d'air et de chaleur dans un équipement de transport routier isolant.

Air leakage and heat leakage in insulated road transport equipment.

Auteurs : LUKASSE L., STAAL M.

Résumé

The interest in energy labelling of refrigerated transport equipment in Europe demands for a better understanding of the relation between air leakage and heat leakage of insulated road transport equipment. The objective of this study is to increase the insight in that relation. This objective is achieved using a series of climate chamber tests in our designated ATP test facility in which heat leakage and air leakage are measured. The measurements are done on two similarly-sized heavily insulated bodies from different manufacturers. The results give rise to the following main conclusions: 1) as long as air leakage remains below twice the existing air leakage standard the contribution to heat leakage is less than 1%, regardless of the position of air leaks; 2) the effect of 80 km/h wind during road transport is negligible as long as measured air leakage remains below twice the standard.
