Résumé

These proceedings contain 31 papers presented at this seminar held in Nantes, France, September 24-26, 1997. They deal with recent progress in the analysis of macro- and microscale heat transfer, cooling techniques and thermally induced failures in electronic systems. Extract from the table of contents: single- and multi-phase convective cooling; thermal management in optimal design; thermomechanical and thermal modelling; thermal characterization and measurement techniques. Some of the papers will be abstracted in a future issue of the IIR Bulletin.
