Résumé

Incidents have been categorized by type, function being performed, and severity. A frequency and trend analysis has been performed on the data presented in order to identify trends and draw conclusions. The general trend is for a decrease in the relative number of events where significant amounts of hydrocarbons are released. This indicates continual improvement in mitigation measures and procedures at facilities.
