Résumé

The absorber has been widely identified as the limiting component of an absorption chiller. In this device the coupled heat and mass transfer depends on several parameters, and the influence of many of them has not yet been fully understood. The aim of this work is to investigate experimentally the effect of the superheating and the subcooling of the inlet solution of a H2O/LiBr absorber on the transport phenomena of the absorber. Experimental investigations are conducted both in a falling-film absorber with a horizontal tube bundle (closedloop) and on a complete absorption chiller. Results are presented and compared with previous literature.
