Résumé

Recently, the LNG market is expanding because it is clean and because the estimated amount of deposits in many regions is large. The temperature of LNG is around -160 °C, so the cargo tank should be insulated to withstand these low temperatures. The cargo tanks of LNG carriers are insulated using several systems due to the tank systems. The insulation system is divided into two systems, such as the tank inside the insulation and the tank outside the insulation. The former includes several membrane systems and the latter includes the Moss system and the SPB system. The insulation of the Membrane system protects both the cargo loads and ensures the heat transfer resistance.
