Résumé

The authors propose a new thermodynamic concept for obtaining the structure of phase diagrams: the goal is to unify and generalize the standard results while giving them a new theoretical foundation. Their guidelines are to always consider a diagram as a whole, not as a gathering of independent elements, and to fully exploit the most accessible and most reliable data first.
