In Qatar, the Linde Group is erecting the world's biggest air separation plant. Facilities for making oxygen and nitrogen built by the company that invented the air separation process are in greater and greater demand, not just in the Persian Gulf but everywhere. The boom is supported by rising energy prices and increasingly urgent concerns over global warming.
