Résumé

The paper shows the results of a pinch analysis using the IEA Annex 21 Industrial Heat Pump Screening Program software carried out for a large chicken processing factory in Northern Ireland. As the software primarily deals with CFC refrigerants, performance corrections are given for using HFCs and other alternative fluids. Finally, an economic analysis of heat pump integration using a review of European and world-wide fuel and electricity prices are given.
