Résumé

The authors describe the hypotheses, the simulation model they used and the results they obtained with air-cooled condensers: (i) comparison of 5 refrigerants; (ii) comparison of various operating conditions. They draw these main conclusions: (i) optimization of condensers makes it possible to improve their efficiency; (ii) the use of a receiver provides many advantages: availability of liquid in case of maintenance work or possible leaks; more stable operation (liquid subcooling, condensation temperature).
