La perméabilité à l'eau et la conductivité hydraulique de la membrane plasmique de sperme de souris ainsi que son énergie d'activation dépendent fortement de l'interaction de la membrane plasmique et du cytosquelette du sperme.

Water permeability, hydraulic conductivity, of the mouse sperm plasma membrane and its activation energy are strongly dependent on interaction of the plasma membrane with the sperm cytoskeleton.

Résumé

The authors propose that one factor contributing to the remarkable sensitivity of mouse sperm to cryodamage is the inability of the cells to respond to the osmotic stress incurred during the freeze and thaw procedures due to the rapid decrease in hydraulic conductivity with decreasing temperature, a membrane phase transition around 0 deg C, and the restraints imposed on the membrane by the f-actin anchoring of the plasma membrane to the sperm internal structure. Glycerol appears to mitigate this factor.
