Résumé

Energy simulation represents a useful tool to describe the actual behaviour of buildings. Nevertheless the large number of required parameters affects the reliability of the simulation outcomes and causes discrepancies between predicted and actual results. Therefore, model calibration is required to develop an accurate energy performance assessment. This paper aims to apply a suitable calibration procedure to an existing building employing air and wall surface temperatures as control variables. The test case is an historical construction in northern Italy which belonged to a manufacturing plant and which is currently disused. The building has a massive envelope and it has no HVAC systems, therefore the model is calibrated through the temperature monitored in a control thermal zone. The simulations are developed with TRNSYS and the extent to which weather data, air-change rates and envelope thermo-physical properties affects the calibration procedure is deeply investigated.
