Résumé
The article examines how the Shell Centre, the largest air conditioned building in Europe when it was built in the 1950's, has stood the test of time. It notes the air conditioning system choice of chilled ceiling with low pressure ducted air with modular temperature control and the air supplied through 6,000 side wall grilles. The article concludes that good care and maintenance have allowed the services to give comfort with economical operation.
