Résumé

Vegetatively propagated species have a handicap for germplasm preservation, since seed storage, which is the easiest and cheapest method for long-term conservation, is not feasible. The usual approaches for these species are: field collections (also called field genebanks), the most traditional solution; in vitro conservation, especially as slow-growth cultures, and, most recently, cryopreservation.
