Résumé

The objective of the study is to examine the oil return characteristics of alkylbenzenes with R410A used in residential split air conditioners. The flow pattern of HFC refrigerant/alkylbenzenes mixtures in the refrigerant circuit is observed and the minimum refrigerant velocities to keep oil flow smooth in the liquid line are determined. In addition, the oil level inside the compressor and cycle performance of R410A/alkylbenzenes with an improved refrigerant circuit are measured and compared to R410A/polyolester. Results are good.
