Résumé

Any manufacturing or processing operation which is humidity-, temperature or microorganism-sensitive, is a natural application for an absorption air conditioning system. The air drying system operates with a liquid hygroscopic salt and is completely manufactured in corrosion-proof plastic. Generally speaking the energy costs are at least 50% lower than those of a refrigeration coil system. The Kathaber system uses relatively cheap coolants, like well water, rover and cooling tower water. Besides the drying of the air, the system also functions as an air washer for dust and grasses in addition to which almost all off the airborne bacteria are killed. Pharmacy, food, meat, gelatin, electronic, steel and film industries are among other ideal application areas.
