Résumé

Introduction and demonstration of the screening software developed under Annex 21. The program serves as a design aid for process engineers and designers to allow for preliminary screening of technical and economic potential of heat pumps in industrial processes. It uses pinch technology tools for proper integration into the process. The screening program identifies the possibilities for heat pump installations and calculates the energy efficiency (COP), capacity and installation costs of a system in a progress as a function of condensation and evaporation temperatures. The program contains data for about 140 industrial processes and various heat pump types.
