Maîtriser davantage les groupes de séparation d'air grâce à la modélisation et à la simulation dynamiques.

Increasing the ASU controllability by the use of dynamic modelling & simulation.

Résumé

Where air separation units (ASU) in the past mostly operated under fairly stable conditions, the market nowadays demands for a more flexible ASU operation. In particular ASU which are integrated to the client's process can be subject to large and rapid load variations. Consequently, such ASU must have an increased controllability and be supplied with an adapted control strategy. When the client's product demand varies rapidly, classic plant design and mono-variable PID controllers do not really allow to maintain the product compositions. In the paper the authors present how the ASU controllability can be increased through the use of rigorous dynamic process models.
